 GROUND RULES

  1. ALL RACES WILL BE RUN AS A COMBINATION DRAW.
    Open, Youth, Novice Horse will be in the combined draw.
    All classes are a 75% payback of entry fee except High Stakes sidepot is 90% payback.
    Added money 100% Payback split evenly between D’s.
    If entering more than one class your time will roll from Open to other class entered.
    Sidepot times will roll from Open, Youth or Novice Horse class.
    Cannot run the same horse twice unless ridden by another family member in a different class.
    Knocked over barrel is a no time.
    No rerun if horse falls.
    Rake after every 5 with a Big Drag decided at each event.
    If timer fails a rerun will be offered but any penalties will carry forward.
  2. ABUSE – Zero Tolerance. Includes but not limited to; excessive jerking, spurring, whipping.
    Abuser will be asked to leave the event forfeiting all fees and winnings.
    Barrel Blast Productions will NOT tolerate any disrespectful behavior to any event HELP, CONTESTANT or SPECTATORS.
    You will be asked to leave and band from entering any other events

    Barrel Blast Productions reserves the right to deny entry to any contestant.
  3. OPEN – 4D with 150 entries. 5D with 151+ entries
    ½ Second Splits.
  4. YOUTH 3D – 15 and Under as of January 1st.
    Full second split between each D.
  5. $1000 NOVICE HORSE – Horse cannot have won $1000 DAY OF RACE.
    ½ second splits between each D
    12 entries 2D Payout
    13-20 entries 3D payout
    21 & over entries 4D payout.
  6. 3D HIGH STAKES SIDEPOT
    90% Payback of entry fee
    ½ second split between each D
  7. 3D SENIOR SIDEPOT
    50 & Over
    ½ Second split between D’s
  8. EXHIBITIONS – 60 second time limit.
  9. RIDE SESSION – 30 minute open riding with barrels set up.
    One horse allowed per rider
    Cannot lead a second horse
  10. AWARDS – Must enter Sunday and Monday to be eligible for Barrel race awards.
    Average time from Sunday and Monday will determine average winners.
    Breakaway and Goat Tying is a one day event. Awards will be given from that one day event.
    Must be present to receive awards with pictures for each event.  Make arrangements with someone if you cannot be there for awards.
    Awards will not be mailed.
